It’s time to address something that’s been on my mind for a while. It haunts my dreams, and my waking hours are spent in a daze thinking about it. It’s simply this:

Oh god I watched it. Yes, it’s true I watched it. All of the way through. It’s Scooby Doo meets Van Wilder, wrapped up with a nice little ball of what-the-fuck.

A (semi) new twist on an old genre. Is the vampire horror movie back? And hey, hold the side of Anne Rice.

The king of flowers is obvious by appearance alone, as a rose by any other name would still shit all over every other flower. Right on the stamen. You shouldn’t even question it.

Eric waited by the deck of his small outpost. It was a frosty day, but the sun would hit full force now and blast its way through the layers of ice that had formed during the night. They were already almost gone. Something those crazy aliens had been doing had really messed with the weather.

For those who don’t know, I happen to work at a deli. And not just any deli, a Jewish deli. A real classic, right? We’ve got corned beef and pastrami and kosher meat (which mostly sucks, except kosher salami which tastes awesome). We’ve got the best coleslaw in town, and some pretty decent potato salad. We’ve got great food really. And we also have a restaurant. No, this isn’t an advertisement for the damned deli. If it was I’d at least tell you the name, but I’m not going to. No, this article, and if it becomes a series other articles, are about the insanity of my workplace.

Of course you may have watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but did you ever sit down and watch the spin off show Angel? Canceled unexpectedly after 5 seasons despite its high popularity, some (myself included) say that it beats its predecessor by a long shot. With all 5 seasons on DVD you can of course check things out for yourself, but how exactly does the show (and the season box sets) rack up? Well, let’s just start with Season One.

I’m only one third through, but considering it’s that time of year this game needed to finally be reviewed. Made by Headfirst Productions it has a sortid development history, after 6 years of work it was almost canned until being picked up by Bethesda Softworks. I was surprised when it was released (the release came out of nowhere) and nabbed it as soon as I could. Unfortunately I didn’t have much time when I got it to play, but now that my plate is empty I’ve picked it up again and begun to dig in, and I’m glad I did…

Apparently based on a true story I picked this up at the video store based on the idea of maybe finally seeing a new cool vampire flick….

Abe emerged from the coal dust into a brisk winter morning. The sunlight was blinding and it took him a moment to adjust. He breathed deeply, and then hacked his lungs out.
