A Wargame Evolves–Funk vs. Furor
A couple months back, Funk told me he wanted to create a tactical and/or strategic wargame loosely based on current USA vs. Insurgents conflict. This turn-based, multiplayer game would ideally be playable on forums as a fairly accurate yet playable combat simulation. He put together the game’s prototype and we had a fun hour testing it–I thought it would be equally fun to document the game as it changes over the coming weeks/months. Most of the work being put into it is Funk’s, so I imagine he might update the column occasionally.
40k Battle Report #4
Space Marines up, Chaos down. The fourth in a series of columns detailing Furor’s Warhammer 40,000 matchups.
40k Battle Report #3
Third part of Furor’s 40K Battler Report series, detailing a Warhammer 40,000 match between Space Marines and Chaos Space Marines.
The Future of War–War Tech
Continuing with “The Future of War” Symposium, I will discuss some of the technology that I think we will see in the future. Obviously prognostication is a dodgy endeavor, but even if the specific technologies I mention never come to be, the general concepts might still have some accuracy. The great hope of all prognosticators is that they will either be dead long before their idiocy is proven or alive long enough to say “I told you so”.

Battle Report: St. Enoch's Cathedral
The inscrutable H.G. Wells developed a miniatures war game called “Little Wars” (available at Project Gutenberg). I recently had an opportunity to play a modified version of his game. I’ll briefly review the game itself, and then provide a full account of the Battle of St. Enoch’s Cathedral.
40k Battle Report #2
2nd battle report, in the Warhammer 40k ruleset. I always liked GW’s d6 system, and even though the excessive close-combat emphasis is a bit Hollywood for most, it’s a solid game, and was easily introduced to friend Ozmodeus in this exhibition game.
40k Battle Report #1
An epic Warhammer 40,000 battle, as only Furor can describe.
