Reviews
Movie, book, music, and game reviews.

Paranormal Activity (2009)
It took 10 years, but we finally have a non-sucky movie like “The Blair Witch Project.” People can debate which movie is scarier, but all you really need to know is that you might just want to see this one either way.

The Abandoned (2006)
This is a movie about family, the true source of all horror.

Behind The Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon (2006)
Lights! Camera! META!

Mother of Tears (2007)
The horror continues into November–because calendars are for SISSIES. What’s on deck? The third in Dario Argento’s “Three Mothers” trilogy. It’s not Halloween 3 bad, but it’s not as good as . . . as . . . well, I can ‘t think of a 3rd movie in a franchise that was ever any good. Anyways, just read.
Tombs of Gersidi (1983, Palladium Books)
HAHAHAHA!! You’ll…you’ll wish I never did this!

I Know Who Killed Me (2007)
8 Golden Razzies? Lindsay Lohan in an “adult” role? Why would anyone….

Warlock (1989)
My fond childhood memories of Warlock were nearly eroded by a recent viewing of the cult classic horror film. The movie is so cheesy I was constipated by the time the credits rolled, but the effort is not totally wasted, for Warlock has one of the coolest premises of any horror film.

Inferno (1980)
As a budding Argentophile, totally valid and useful research (thanks IMDB!) told me that this was one of his most “love it or hate it” movies. In practice, I found that it’s a lot like “Suspiria,” only–well, it’s a lot like “Suspiria.”

Hannibal Rising (2007)
You’ve seen Anny, now see Hanny. You know what– don’t, actually.

Dying God (2008)
In a world where not everything is as it seems, one man who isn’t Wayne Brady may just have to choke a bitch to save the city he can sort of tolerate as long as he’s drunk.
